For a Long-Lasting Memories / installation / laser engraved glasses, 2019
In this work, the author returns to various locations along the Adriatic coast, places of pauseand rest from family journeys, which had been preserved in memory and later mentallyremapped. The landscapes recorded at these sites are understood as unstable and fragilecarriers of transgenerational emotion, images that connect the past and the present throughlayers of personal and collective memory. The photographs of these landscapes are digitallyprocessed and reduced to pure linear contours, preserving the essence of the scene. Bytransposing these drawings and engraving them onto glass, the work creates an illusion of ahovering image that resists precise analysis. In this way, it becomes a homage to fragilejourneys and memories which, like glass, hold the potential to shatter, yet through theirfragility reveal deeper layers of remembrance and emotional connection.
